I bought my FL2 GS manual in April brand new. Lovely motor. Can't comment on fuel economy from auto but the manual is great. The stop/start adds to fuel savings too, easy 40+mpg can be achieved with motorway driving. Either gear box is not the real issue though. The car is just great full stop...
