MAD so if the cylinder extends because the fork went and I was standing on the clutch pedal this would cause the piston to pop out I have put the cylinder back on with the rod in place and still no presure how can i test if the cylinder is working PS cheers for the fast reply

Sorry to bring this thread up again but I had the fork go on my 300tdi the pedal stayed on the floor so stripped and found the fork had gone So replaced fork, clutch, clutch plate and bearing put it all back in place now clutch pedal is still on floor I cannot see how the cylinder could be...

Well I got the timing kit so removed the cover and the new timing kit (the upgrade) that I put on was knacked the pulley was wedged between the case and the outer cover and had put a nice big groove in the outer cover but not gone through the bolt had undone it's self and the belt was well worn...

Hello Folks Well i got my timing belt fitted after it went and replaced some rods and rockers on the second attempt got the timing right (did not have a kit so used a 9.5 drill bit and a flat head screw driver) Well all was fine 150miles no problems then coming back after a day out it started...

If you are planning on keeping the set up for a long time to come i would just pay the extra and be done with it max

Hello My 93 200tdi keeps sticking in 4th Gear when driving along goes in great no problems but come to change gear out of 4th in it sticks in having to push harder to take out of gear All other gears are ok now that i am used to the design Any advice is greatly welcome Laptop
