That was my main concern, what truck was it? I was thinking I might get away with the COG with mine having a small Suzuki sj top on and lots of heavy chassis removed. It's going to be about 90% quarry's and 10% green lanes

I have decided to go down the path of 404 unimog axles. This sorts gearing, diff and half shaft strength and diff locks in 1 hit. I have researched what needs to be done and recon it's well worth the work. Has anyone had any experience with this conversion?

Bugger, can the 4.7 ring and pinion not be fit into a 3.54? Diff?

Are they not the standard d1 diff? What about the 4.7 - 1 series diff?
I'm not overly fussed about high box as its a 99% off road machine

I'm rebuilding a shortened d1 (83") with a truck cab Suzuki top and was hoping to run 38" tyres. My only issue is getting the gearing low enough?Has anyone got the solution?

38" tyres on my truck. The clearance isn't a problem But getting the gearing down low enough in low box is the issue?

Is the low box gearing not the same in all landrover transfer boxes?

can anyone tell me for starters the best way to lower the gearing in low box so I can fit 35" wheels is changing the diffs the way forward? And has anyone had any experience with the Terrafirma tf247 11" travel suspension kit? Cheers matt

Good morning gents, I have always been diehard Suzuki but my new toy is a truck cab sj on a disco 1 shortened chassis that I no nowt about
