I have decided to go down the path of 404 unimog axles. This sorts gearing, diff and half shaft strength and diff locks in 1 hit. I have researched what needs to be done and recon it's well worth the work. Has anyone had any experience with this conversion?

there was a guy local to me who did it on his challenge truck - raised the COG alot.

We were for ever winching his truck upright again.

He could drive it - it just had a penchant for falling over alot.

Think carefully about what your using the truck for.

That was my main concern, what truck was it? I was thinking I might get away with the COG with mine having a small Suzuki sj top on and lots of heavy chassis removed. It's going to be about 90% quarry's and 10% green lanes
