if its the 300 shape the fan motor is behind the glove box if you remove the piece of trim below the glove box you can get access to the fan motor try puting power direct to the fan to check if its the fan packed up if not then i would say its the slider switch
if its the 200 shape i THINK...

has the blower stopped working or are you just getting no heat is it a 200 or 300tdi shape discovery let me know as i have just fixed the heaters on my 300tdi and it turned out to be the slider switch not making good contact

finally fixed it ... i went back over what i had checked/changed and could find nothing wrong so decided to take apart the heater control slider switch and found a very tiny spring that was suspposed to push switch onto the contacts but was not strong enough so i just stretched it and put it...

funny you mention the slider switch as this had been messing about a bit the blower would just go off but if i just touched the slider switch it would come back on... i have changed this already and made no difference so will check voltage tomorrow and hopefully get it sorted

well the central locking has fixed itself today which is good but now the heater has stoped working i checked the fuse first and that is fine so i changed the heater fan complete with housing along with the relay that is attached to the side of it but still not working so then changed the...

hi dave cleaned the sedimenter yesterday and to be fair it was not that dirty about 3-4mm of grit/sand in the bottom and unfortunatley didnt make any difference to the performance of my tdi think im gonna have to give in on this one and give it to a land rover specialist to check thanks chris.

hi guys got another problem my 300tdi... it wont go over 50mph and takes all day getting there it appears to be getting boost (checked and measured 1.0bar) the turbo seems to be working as all the boost hose's are in good condition and expand when reved removed the top boost hose and felt...

my disco tdi had the same problem i removed the speedo itself cleaned all the contacts and checked for any dry joints on the circuit board re-fitted the speedo and all has been ok since

hi thanks for that will try that tomorrow was having a play with it today and noticed that when i arm the alarm all is quite but when i disarm it i can hear all the door lock solonoids making a noise as if they are trying to work but only when i disarm does this mean anything else :confused:

hi finally got round to looking at the sediment filter and all has been ok for almost 2 weeks now so i think that was the problem it was like a mouldy jelly inside bloody messy aswell thanks again chris.

hi everyone i have a 300tdi M reg 5 door which has decided not to lock or unlock via remote anymore. If I press the remote the indicators flash & the alarm arms/disarms but none of the doors lock. if i open a door when the alarm is armed the lights flash but without the horn ???

hi there i think they are meant to be 235-70-16's but my 95 disco came with 205-80-16's but both are the same overall size i think hope this helps

hi hope someone can help i have a 300 tdi on a r reg that was driving fine got to work great went to go home that evening and she just turned over but wouldnt start we managed to tow start it but then when i turned it off again it would not start again i have changed the diesel lift pump...

hi can anyone help i have a 95 discovery 300 tdi with a annoying problem if the cars is used for lots of short trips (under 10 miles) the speedo works fine all day but if the car is driven for any longer trips without stopping the speedo jerks up and down and then just stops .... but if left for...
