A quick note to round of this post.

I have used Island 4x4 air springs - no problems. Last time I bought them there was a deal on 4 springs. Don't forget the clips - if they are corroded in you will destroy them getting them out.
If the pump runs ok simply replace the piston and cylinder assembly - not hard to do on a P38.

Ran our 300tdi on a mixture of rapeseed oil and diesel last summer. No adverse effects. Just got asked for doughnuts :-) a few times. Sadly its been sold on.
