Unfortunately closest other dealer is in Kampala, Uganda. Another country and about 11 hours on very potholed roads. I'd probably need new shocks by the time I got there.

Problem solved - the cowboys at the local LR dealer fitted the rear shocks to the front and the front to the rear. As they are not the same length the shocks were being stretched to their limit as front wheel fell away from bump. Being refitted as I type. Hope they are not damaged.
