Please help. Driving along and heard a knocking coming from underneath the drivers seat and pulled over and looked under and all looked well. Then went to drive and lost all drive together...
Was able to move it momentarily in Low range but then that was brief and eventually lost drive.

Problem solved, was the battery, This car is a real project it could have been anything so I overlooked the REALLY OBVIOUS! It must’ve been on its lasts, and had enough to lock and open and get lights on the dash but that was it. only took and hour to remove the hoses and put new ones in. And...

Hi all.
Just changed my coolant hose and turbo hose on my disco 2 TD5 to new silicones, all fit and properly done. Topping up the system with water/coolant and now my car won’t turn over and start up.
what could it be and how can I sort it?
I’m a rookie and not to clued up on technical...

So I manually pulled the cable for the bonnet latch from underneath (it’s nice and open and easy to see) and then opened the bonnet, charged the battery up and was then able to open the cars using the keys. Since have put a new battery in so shouldn’t be a problem for a while.

Yeah, main battery, How would I be able to get to it? Car is locked so can’t pop open the bonnet.
