Got in disco today & light has gone out fingers crossed. Got a variable resistor as well never mind expect I will need it.

I cut 2 flats on a 32mm socket to fit a 27mm open end spanner on works a treat you could put a pipe on it if needed to break it off.

If I can fond out it is airbag I will get a new one but I don't want to get one if it's not got till next May till MOT so no rush. Going to Peterborough land rover show next month may just get a used one & see thanks for you help sierrafery let u know what happens Kevin

Yes that's right open circuit with it unplugged

The one that plugs onto back of airbag should I try one under cover where fuse box is ?

Just to update got a bigger resistor 4.5 ohm but still the same any body have any idea what I can try next please

Hi is it only when engine is running ?? If so it could be one of the pipes from the tank that rubs on the crossmember in front of tank ( over the top ) it happened to mine think it's the green one I cut it & put a puch on air / fluid connection on & job done it the second time it's gone last...

I'm not to good on auto electrics so it takes a short time to understand things so I will try the simple way first & get a bigger resistor lol thanks for now I will let you know what happens. Kevin

Yes I read it with resistor & same as code with airbag in. Do you think I need bigger one ?? Thanks for quick response sierrafery Kevin

Just a update got a resistor 2.2 ohm of e bay fitted it cleared code & light went out but then it came back took resistor out code said open circuit don't no what it can be now

Got a problem with SRS light on plugged hawkeye in & it told me this (B1006 short circuit to ignition in driver airbag circuit permanent ) can anybody please help with what it is can't find anything on here or google . It's a 2002 discovery 2 td5

Yes very good had an intercooler for a 300 tdi and a full size one for my td5 also a remap on the td5 no problems at all. Andy is very helpfull and a nice person to deal with. Perhaps not the cheapest but good quality.

I took mine off & replaced it with same one just remove it carefully
