yeah, I think ive just got to the bottom of the problem! the fuel pump is in pieces, there are parts of it laying in the bottom of the cage/tank, I'm assuming low fuel pressure would cause it to not function properly?!

I put a multimeter on everything, the car cranks fine, turns over really well, just nothing from the ecu to the injectors

Also, the previous owner said the pump was a bit dodgy....would low fuel pressure cause it not to send a signal to the injectors from the ecu?

thanks for the reply! ive got signal from the crank sensor so I'm fairly happy with that. no I don't have a rave manual.....and ive only got a basic code reader, but that hasn't shown anything up. cheers

Hi all, recently bought a 'w' reg td5 disco. was driving along, the car suddenly stopped, wouldn't start at all. after a lot of testing etc, found there was no output from the ecu to the injectors.....does anybody have any ideas?? many thanks in advance!
