Hi, took my freelander 2 to garage because of sudden lack of power and shuddering but faults codes say intercooler leak, would this cause the shuddering that feels like wheels wobbling ?

Hi, I have had my freelander 2 now for 5 years and it's now developed what feels like spluttering and loss of power at times and also were the temperature gauge as always been half way it has now dropped down to about a quarter of the way, anyone have any ideas what the problem is please.
