i need the adapter plates not spacers to increase track, martins has them at £403 plus VAT! which isnt really an option as im not that desperate! I know it will cost but 400 squid is a bit steep hehehe Could only see spacers on paddocks unless im missing a trick? If anyone can help further...

hi all! Ive been offered a set of hurricane 18 inch wheels with brand new tyres for 100 quid, i know they wont go straight on, does anyone know where i can get the adapter plates from or made so they will fit my 300tdi? Thanks in advance!

Not the same problem, but im currently helping my neighbour whos water pump sprung a leak and consequently overheated his 300tdi, it got so hot it did the headgasket and burnt out 2 pistons. The head was a mess on that all the injectors closed up and anything connected to the head was burnt out...

Early 300 tdis didnt have the wiring to illuminate the top tailights iirc.

Mine has the small plastic shield on the back of the alternator, 3 wires underneath (97 R 300TDi)

Check all the hoses, and i mean all the hoses that are part of the inlet and breather system. The V8's are a pig if they get unmetered air in and theres loads of ways for this to happen as i found out :D Get a mate to rev engine up then listen for hisses etc. Mine had a tiny split in one of...

Aye had same thing on a ahem... frontera wire to the sender was fooked, didnt matter cuz the pressure release valve was fooked and i spent many a day watching that little red light flicker at tickover. :D

yer adz, im only saying turbo as i had one blow on me and it poured grey/white smoke out and gave exact prob as ee's avin! Was just throwin some variety in. As it goes i agree 100% with white smoke normally bein fuel/coolant

Hmm lift pump, lots of white smoke caused by this?....... My bet Turbo failure, oil getting past the turbo. No power AND white smoke ;)

If ya have the rave CD it will tell where that valve is, i suspect inside the gearbox itself. Try looking at the overhaul bit of rave for the gearbox :D
