I'm looking for a series 2A gearbox so i can mate it up to a 200tdi and fit it in to my series1 88inch please :)

I'm looking at fitting a 2.5d N/a land rover engine in to my 88 inch series 1 has anyone done that on here and if so what do i need to know / do ? do i need a convertion plate for the gear box ? :confused:

O good so kate is my landrover today we changed the oil and oil filter also i tuck it to a friend whos going to per mot and weld it up for me he said well be on the road in a month so I'm well happy not bad for a landy that falled its mot 4 years ago and got driven in to a barn and left till 2...

I've got a 2.2 bmc engine in my landrover I would like to know if 1 where can i get bits for a bmc 2 is the landrover 2.25 the same as i 've been told it is 3 can i remove the bmc engine and fit a 2.25 in easy Please help as its soon summer and i want to be on the road joss
