Fitted the new alternator today and all is well!

check the earth. most of the time its a bad earth. Use a volt meter to work ur way back towards the light to find the fault. i had a similar issue and found the previous owner had wired it in to the wrong feed under the bonnet.

Got a 200tdi defender 90. Had my belt snap not long ago changed it, now my alternator seems to have packed up. this a coincidence or are they related??

Im having problems at the moment with mine. my fan belt snapped so changed tht now found the my alternator is not charging. so i know what ur going through!!!

i got a 1992 90 not long ago and have suffered from non starting. check if there is anything drawing current from the battery when everything is off. ive had lots of wrong wiring of lights on mine from previous owners.

Had my first defender 90 for a few months now and am looking into some off road tyres. i cant decide what to have and how to go about it. thinking of buying some steels for the new tyres then being able to just change the st of wheels on mi landy if and when i want as i do quite a bit of road...
