Is the spacer necessary with the fuel lift pump? I ask because i changed my fuel filter, bled out the system and thought all was well. Drove it to work and the Landy stalled. Had it towed to a garage and they replaced the lift pump as I did not have time. The landy is still stalling out. Don’t...

Haven’t tried it yet, but did notice that a bolt on the lift pump was loose.
Curious, does a lift pump suck air too? I was feeling around while the truck was on and I feel a small hole on the bottom sucking air.

When the idle is running high I notice a very thin white colour of smoke. No kinks or water leaks. And yes, it happens when the motor is warm.

Would that be the case? I’m looking to export it since all numbers match and motor is like year for a 87 but the chassis number reads as if it were a 84 2.5TD which doesn’t exist. Right?

It’s been on a farm for the past 30 years of ownership no visible modifications...original chassis. It’s peculiar.

Help, I’m looking to purchase a 1987 Land Rover 90 2.5TD. All numbers match with V5, vin and chassis. Crossed checked with DVLA. The issue is that the verified vin/chassis number is for a 1984 model. Is this common? One original owner first registered in 1987..Number is SALLDVAB7AA....
