TD5 Fuel Filter Head Replacement - How to?

I guessed as much but it must have been quite a long crack for it to break off like that. Glad you got it fixed in the end and at least with that replacement the mice will need good teeth to chew that away

Did you get this fixed in the end?

TD5 Fuel Filter Head Replacement - How to?

Are you sure you pushed it on all the way? Have either of the fixing lugs on the connector snapped causing it to not sit straight on the male connector?

TD5 Fuel Filter Head Replacement - How to?

The originals become porous and I swear some mice had been nibbling at mine as the face where the seal seats against was half gone. Same symptoms and an easy fix (provided the slow starting is nothing more untoward which I hope it won't be)

TD5 Fuel Filter Head Replacement - How to?

I put a length of insulating tape on the 2 nearest pipes on either side of the filter head when I did mine so I knew which pipe went where. You aren't going to confuse those pipes as one faces backwards and the other forwards, same as the ones at the rear. It's a very straightforward job to do

Defender 110 Fold Forward Rear Seats?

There small bracket is on the side of the seat and this latches on to the locking mechanism on the bodywork. There is a hole in the seat bracket that locates on the fixed locking mechanism. The whole locking mechanism is located between some metal uprights on the side of the tub and which form...

Defender 110 Fold Forward Rear Seats?

Apologies for the duplicate photos. It's late and I've had a beer or 2 (hic) I think you had decided against the csw system on cost but these may help you to determine if it would fit or not if you could get one from a breaker

Defender 110 Fold Forward Rear Seats?

Kinell! That's somewhat steep. Go with the catch. Part number 336288. £6.74 from Paddocks. Comes in a blue bag but surely then can't mess that up

Defender 110 Fold Forward Rear Seats?

I will try to at the weekend when it's light. It's dark when I leave for work and get home now. I think it may be a bit tight in a dcpu tbh due to the curvature at the back of the cab. Older 110s used to use a sliding catch which may be an option if there is space to mount it to the body at the...

Defender 110 Fold Forward Rear Seats?

There is a catch on the side of the outer seats which locks on to a latch on the bodywork. It's released by pulling up a lever which is roughly in line with the front of the side sliding window. Certainly no nuts and bolts involved. The mechanism is shown in this link...

    110 TD5 courtesy lights

Yes, just a half second flash when I press the remote button. It used to work but I left the switch in the off position for ages and never used them as I al.ays got straight into or out of the car and knew where things were. Now when we are away and have a car full of clutter and the lights...

    110 TD5 courtesy lights

I have tried a search but not come up with a definitive solution to my problem. The courtesy lights on my 2005 TD5 don't work when the doors are opened. They flash briefly when the car is unlocked and work fine manually on the interior switch. The alarm works fine (goes off if you open the...
