Solved.
Couldn't wait until weekend. I pulled the dash out on works car park and noticed a previously bodged repair to the wire that was a bit crusty. Cut the ends clean and re connected and the blower worked again.
I like the toggle switch idea. The low speed is a bit pointless anyway, and the...

Hi,
I have a problem with my 1988 90 (200tdi disco) heater blower. It was intermittent last week and has now stopped all together.
I have searched and searched over several days for existing posts, but i can't find one with quite the exact same problem. This is following on from some limited...

The pulling has gone since cleaning the calipers and drums. I was putting 2 and 2 and getting a chicken there.
-
Yeah, that' kid of how it feels.
@Turboman I will change all 4 in the near future, reckon I'd go for standard anyway.

I don' know what the spring are that are on it. Though I'm willing to bet they are pretty old.
-
Sorry. I will try my best with info. I' new to owning a land rover and learning as I go along.
The chassis is in very good condition. It' never had to be welded, no corosion. All the springs look in good condition. No corrosion around them or breaks. I can't see any play in the radius arm...

It' definitely not brakes. I've striped and checked all 4 corners today. Still lifting on the front left when setting off. I am thinking worn springs and I've just not noticed until now. No movement in any bushes that I can see. I've had a heavy friend sit in the passenger seat and it rises a...

I definitely have the handbrake off. I have jacked up each corner and no binding brake. The rear left possibly a little stiffer than rear right but not bad. Will open the drum and inspect this weekend. One thing that I now think is connected is that if I brake hard while driving and the weight...

Does anyone have any idea why the front of my 90 would raise when setting off? It feels like a front wheel drive car when you let the clutch up with the hand brake on, except only the left front rises. The right front does not. It' exaggrated in low ratio. No difference weather the diffs are...

2 new props on now, the right way around and driving nice. As you said @tottot The old rear prop that had been on the front of the vehicle (too long for the distance between the trans box and diff) had knackered Ujs a few weeks ago. And the old front prop that had been over stretched at the...

I feel daft for only just noticing, but not as daft as the person who has done this should.... the front prop is on the rear! Which explains it. So i am right not to trust the work of the last owner.
What damage could have been caused by having the props on the wrong way round? it drives well...

Thanks @jamesmartin
Could this prop in the photos that was on the front, actually be a rear prop?
It was extremely hard to extend. I am wondering if i am best ordering a new front prop and fitting this to the rear in place of the one with the knackered splines.

Thanks @Gmacz
So it will be balanced, i thought i read that the reason was to do with the range of play?
-
Or is this a rear prop shaft that has been put on the front? Though i think the rear is longer?.

Anyway, as i say in my introducing myself post, i am learning very fast about looking after my 90. I've done a lot of research on...
