It went sluggish after 10ml then pulled upto round about hard and sluggish to pull away turned for home pulled into layby wouldn't start battery seemed hard to start but was charging at 14v wife's on way with tools and new battery I had spare

Happened again lost power on main a road pulled upto roundabout sluggish to pull away turned for home pulled into layby to try key out etc won't start now I'm stuck

,. I'll induce the fault again now to be more detailed

On a D1 thought it was too basic for a 300tdi but I can go for a drive now and try what if it does

After 30 mins of driving I struggle up hills doesn't want to kick down feather pedal just get it into top but doesn't seem to lock up move into neutral full rev range, it is fine for 1st 30 mins or so but after it slows right down on hills not wanting to use lower gears at round abouts sluggish...
