what, everything which has a warning light on the dash go's faulty all at the same time ?. im sure ive got a fault (or two), any know what it may be thanks joe

after 4 months of no problems, the disco ( 2001 ) has come up with another problem there is a ding noise, then most of the dash warning show up, varius adjustable suspension lights, the abs the TC and the hand brake warning, turning the ignion resets it for a few miles and then it does it...

mine does this as well, it seems to start if i wriggle the gear stick about a bit but its had a new xyz switch already, im having the starter done under warranty next week il let you know if it sorts it or not

td5 are excellent for all that and will give you about 10-15 mpg more than a v8 a gassed manual v8 will give you the monetary equivalent of about 30 mpg about the same as td5 give or take a couple of mpg but gas can be an arse at times, for finding it in out of the way places and getting it...

not sure around a 99, but v8 is a very specific tool which will tow your mobile home, horse box etc. like no other, they command a premium price when they are being bought by the well heeled, but are worth virtually nothing when they are older as no one but the serious off roader wants one.

sorry to state the obvious but do you realise how appalling bad the fuel consumption is on a v8, its cheaper to go by chauffeur driven limo, see if you can find one which has been gassed, these are commonly cheaper than ungassed ones ?

if you really dont care about fuel get a petrol v8 if you can find one with a gas conversion then thats even better

start off with the battery connections then try strapping an earth from the battery to the engine, you can do it with a short jump lead that gets rid of the cheap and easy solutions

get a glanding tool and do it yourself ?

its impossible to tell if you just putting 20 quid in, Try brimming it, about 80 quid and running it at least to half full and brimming it again 20 not that bad is your messing about in town, if im careful how i drive mine im getting about 28 mpg, doesn't take much to get it down to 18 though

yes dost done mine, not reset required it it an arse but do able if youve a cat on it gets in the way and need the exhaust pulling off other than that if youve got finger like a pianist its a piece of cake 120 gbp

youve got to be realistic, you buying a 7 or 8 year old car and anything of that age will have issues, its just that these change dependent on what make you get, nivaras for instance trash the engine and blow intercoolers your also paying about 3 or 4 grand less than a similar age x5 or merc...

have you ever considered buying a flash for the camera ?

and moving a contact isnt a mechanical function ? the crash cut of isnt show a diagram but the feed to the fuel pump i a white and yellow wire and runs diect to the pump from the RELAY under the bonnet, ie no other seleniod send me a heck for 20 quid and il post you one going for bath sorry...
