Thanks for advice i have a ccu on order from e bay . So I will try it and at least it can be ruled out. I will then replace the dash. If it keeps going on i might have enough parts to build another car. Lol Thanks for your time and advice Regards charlie

Hi guys sent for ccu on e bay tried to do a self test on ccu and couldn't get it to go so i am thinking its fried . Worth swapping it and if it gets the Windows up ill take it to the stealers and get it set up. I will let you know . Again thanks for the help. Regards charlie

Hi guys latest update . Took out all the fuses i could find and checked thed with tester . Took out all the relays and tested with meter . All tested ok . Also checked with icar tester it showed no faults . Anybody got any ideas? I'm at dead end migjt have to go to dealer and pay a fortune.

Hi guys thanks for all the help it has just started chucking it down here. Ill wait for a brake in it and try all your suggestions. I dont think there is a relay for towing as i traced the cable and it is wired into the tail lamp loom at the rear. Thanks charlie

Thanks for the reply Doors are locking but the horn beeps once Windows not operating on any switch. I had the battery disconnected all last night reconnected it this morning and same faults.

Hi guys disconnecting the battery didn't work. She starts first turn but is in limp home mode. Is there any way to switch this off. Or is it a trip to the dealer?

Hi guys. Update got a filter from local dealer fitted it and she started first time. Brit parts sh $# parts. Only problem now engine management light is on . Have disconnected the battery hope that cures it or its off to the dealer Thanks for all the help really appreciate it.

Thanks for that it started out as just the filter . But when it didn't start I decided to fit a new pump got a bosch one . I'll get a filter tomorrow and try again. Thanks for the help.

Fuel filter is the right way round double checked. It is a brit part. Are they o k to fit if not I'll get another make. Thanks

Hi guys rover started this morning after a lot of grinding. Sounded a bit lumpy duty performed great on driving. Checked after an hour same problem. Anyone know if there is a non return valve in the system. Thanks

Freelander 1 filter and pump behind wheel arch. Thanks for the reply. Got her going this afternoon. Goes well when driving but still hard to start. Hopefully she will start in the morning.
