No, I won't have the 'hump', as you put it. Just being practical. I learned to drive in a Landy, or at least learned to be a confident driver in a Landy. Can't see why I shouldn't give my son the same chance.

I intend to have the last laugh with my neighbour, mind you. Give it another four and half years and my son will be ready to learn to drive. Guess what we might buy him!

Oh well, it looks like my neighbour will win this round. I've just set up an auction on Ebay (!?!) for the Landy, if anyone wants to take a look under item number 4614793501 (Series 3 Land Rover, replacement chassis, overdrive).

Much as I would like to suggest physically impossible acts to my neighbour, the fact is it is her land, and she is legally able to ask me to move my Landy. The problem is finding a means to do so (it would require a trailer), and also somewhere to store it until I could spend the time to fix...
