I have just received a luverly letter from my neighbour's solicitors, giving me 28 days to re-locate my Landy from the grass verge on which it has been sitting for the last few years. I live in Willingham, near Cambridge. The Landy is a Series 3 109, with a 3.5 litre V8 petrol, replacement chassis and a Fairey overdrive waiting to be fitted.

Ideally, I would love to put the 'beastie' back on the road, but don't have the time. Is there anyone out there who can help me move it to a storage location? I have to move it by 6th March 2006.

if i was abit closer to you i would mover her for you there are some great guys on he some one will help you out

Much as I would like to suggest physically impossible acts to my neighbour, the fact is it is her land, and she is legally able to ask me to move my Landy.

The problem is finding a means to do so (it would require a trailer), and also somewhere to store it until I could spend the time to fix it.

Mind you, when I do move the Landy, I will also be moving the plants that I put to make it less of the 'eyesore' that she feels that it is. Her loss.

i had neighbours like that once. so being me i went out and bought two more cars from the auction. they then said if i moved the last two they wouldn't complain about the first one any more

Oh well, it looks like my neighbour will win this round. I've just set up an auction on Ebay (!?!) for the Landy, if anyone wants to take a look under item number 4614793501 (Series 3 Land Rover, replacement chassis, overdrive).

Sorry, the auction starts tomorrow evening at 6pm. It is on as a buy it now and an auction (with reserve). under item number 4614793501

I intend to have the last laugh with my neighbour, mind you. Give it another four and half years and my son will be ready to learn to drive. Guess what we might buy him!

No, I won't have the 'hump', as you put it. Just being practical. I learned to drive in a Landy, or at least learned to be a confident driver in a Landy. Can't see why I shouldn't give my son the same chance.

**** boy what are you on??? you said you intend to have the last laff in 4 1/2 years, so one would assume you need to still have the hump in 4 1/2 years to be able to go hee! hee! hee! look what we've got!!

or did you not really mean that and if not what did you mean?

First off, I'm a girl! Secondly, I won't have 'the hump' because the neighbour isn't worth the hassle. However, what she hasn't taken into account is that of the four houses in our block, three have teenagers, all likely to want to learn to drive at some point. What goes around, comes around. She's been complaining about my husband's car(s) for the past nine years. The solicitor letter about the Landy is not the first time she has acted in such an amusing fashion. I won't have be holding a grudge against her, but I will reserve the right to choose an appropriate vehicle for my son when he learns to drive. If that means we have three cars on the shared driveway, then so be it.

Ahhhh ... your a girl! :) So you will definatly remember this incident in four years time .... you'll probably still remember it in forty years time! Elephant forget quicker than women do.

P.S. Don't tell the wife I posted this!
