have a v8 3.5 efi in my defender at momnet and have a spare engine i'm rebuilding. Would it be better to stick with the efi or rebuild it with carbs and which would be better su's or stromberg thanks

new cranked rear arms and bushes new a frame joint springs bushes etc pretty much new underneath possible the panhard rod was adjusted wrongly i put it back on as it came off after changing bushes

its not a major issue but just wondered why one side would have a big gap and other side would be pretty much touching the chassis weather standard or castor corecting arms

brand new bushes through out new springs new adjustable panhard rod new drag ling sterring rod ball joints etc

yes has been lifted was ok with standard radius arms but was bit skitish ,on road and noticed they were running close to chassis so hoped the castor correcting ones would help but still seems to be same problem

just replaced the front radius arms on my defender . with some castor correcting ones 3deg and polly bushes when i took the old ones off noticed that on one side the arm was extremly close to chassis compared to other side. Passanger side was closest . Was hoping the new arms and bushes...

hi not sure if anyone can help have issue with water pump was leaking from the rear of pump up near pipes exits so thought may be pipes so replaced and tightned them , but still leaking so removed water pump and where pump has obviously been on there years the water has eaten away at...

cheer's only just got it though 85 deg may be a bit low for fan to kick in not a huge expert on the v8 engine lol yet im sure will be after owning this for a while

have a v8 90 3.9efi what temp should the eletric fans kick in i think its been set to low. the fans at the momment are kicking in at around 85 deg anyone who can help would be grateful

ahhh is 300tdi engine have done the cam belt before os if its not much worse than that should be ok . thanks for the tio with seal is stuff like that if you dont know about can catch you out

anyone know how much hassle it is to remove the timing belt housing. have an oil leak from the gasket and is quite a bad leak ,so should realy do it just wondered if anyone knew how much of an arse its going to be to remove and refit

quick one have a oil leak from sump is there supposed to be a gasket there looks like its been sealed with instant gasket previously

have a 300tdi 96 auto have changed the starter motor alternator and new battery and all was fine . but now having problems starting it again seems very lazy turns over but stuggles a bit to start glow plugs fine battry fully charged alternator charging well and its a new starter motor did try...
