Hi all. Replaced cambelt and water pump. Now trying to bleed . Followed Haynes manual and noticed that the thermostat is not full of fluid and heater is sloshing. Ran for a minute to see if it helped push it around. Do you need to keep the reservoir level from uncovering the feed pipe to avoid...

I was sceptical myself. But after reading other threads that said they had success, I tried it. I can confirm that it does work. Locks are now operational for £6.

Just heard from supplier, if I take the brush head off and turn 180 it will go opposite ways. We'll see .

The passenger door wasn't unlocking at all before.

Hi All. After changing a passenger door lock actuator motor. This door now locks when unlocking and opens when locking with the remote. Not sure I got all the levers in the right place. Or is the motor running backwards. Needs syncing? Got motor from Ali express for £6 against £120 for new lock...

Update. Fuel pump removed and found seized. Managed to turn the impeller to free off with wd40 . Put wires straight to battery and whizzed round nicely. Refitted , still no joy. Che cked engine bay fuse for pump. All good. 😊 Then found 2nd fuse under steering wheel blown. New fuse and away...

Does the 1.8 have a priming button ? Will find out Monday.

Had the seats and carpets out , with all the trim panels. Did notice that the HDC switch wiring on the gear stick has broken. This wouldn't stop it syncing and starting would it?

Hi , Freelander 1.8 . after a month or two with battery disconnected for maintenance and interior stripping And cleaning. Reconnected battery and didn’t get the tailgate window going down . Also no start. Engine turns over strongly but no start. Tried five clicks on the remote buttons , locks...

Also my eezibleed kit doesn’t have a cap to fit the reservoir. (Quarter turn bayonet). Seen new vacuum pump bleed kits for £15 .
