    Condensation problem... I think

Thanks Lynall.... i’ve seen some self adhesive foil backed insulation specifically for insulating cars but it’s quite expensive and neoprene might be a good (and cheaper) alternative.

    please ignore

Apologies everyone. I have posted the same thread twice by accident. Please ignore this thread.

Hi everyone... I have a 2005 TD5 truck cab (short wheel base) and I notice the lowest piece of the headliner (the long thin strip which runs horizontally below the bottom of the rear windows behind the back of the seats) was becoming very damp. It’s been raining relentlessly so I assumed I had I...

    Oil light panic

changed my oil filters 8 months ago but have done less than 2,000 miles since. No problems until last week... had been driving down the motorway for about an hour, pulled off and got to within a mile of home when my oil light came on. Pulled over, turned the engine off, turned it back on, light...

    DAB radio and aerials

I've just replaced my old aerial with one made by Nakatanenga from these guys: https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/defender-aerial/ It is absolutely brilliant. You can find cheaper but the reception (both DAB and FM) is awesome with this one. Much better than I was expecting and so much...

hello.... I'm new. And I have my first question!

Just to add... successfully installed new Nakatanenga aerial over the weekend. Bit of a fiddle getting the new lead through the dash to the stereo but other than that all pretty straightforward. And what a difference! Really worth the effort. The reception is SO MUCH better than the original...

    Truck cab corner window seals

Thanks for taking the trouble to get back to me. I would very happily pay you to do it!! Don't suppose you are anywhere near Stroud. (unlikely if you are working on boats). It sounds like a reasonably straightforward job ...once you know what you are doing. And therein lies the problem for me at...

    Truck cab corner window seals

I am thinking about replacing the seals on the corner windows of my my truck cab. Trawled the web and found limited but quite contradictory advise ranging from “don’t go there... pay a pro to do this” to “simples”. Does anyone have an experience they want to share or advice to offer?

Thanks...really appreciate everyone taking the trouble to reply.

hello.... I'm new. And I have my first question!

Thanks everyone for their replies. This is all really helpful. I now have a good sense of what i need to do and how to do it. Is there a risk if I tap into an existing wire (one with a live feed from the ignition) that I will starve the thing that it is supplying of power? I am imagining not -...

hello.... I'm new. And I have my first question!

Ashamed to say I had to Google "DMM" and then "defender DMM" (which came up with lots of stuff about dungeons and dragons!) before I finally worked out what a DMM was. Needless to say I haven't got one but I can completely see why it would be a good idea to get one and I'm pretty sure I can get...

Yes... stereo will definitely turn on without the key I need the ignition. (Thanks for you patience) Jason
