Hi mate first thing i would try is to remove the plug from the maf sensor if it starts, there is your problem, maf or wiring. it could be the ckp sensor. or it could be your high pressure fuel sensor or wiring (common fault). That's were i would start. i am sure other peeps will advice you on...

Just trying to be helpful. if you have the rave cd you have the technical info required. And if you are bright you can make your own tuning module, just like Ron and if you are right with people and don't take the pxxs out of them they help you just like Ron.

i can confirm that the elm 327 will read the MAF and IAT but not the fuel pressure rail sensor that's using scanxl and my landy is on a 03 plate. i don't know how accurate it is

Thanks for the info buggyman i have the 03 plate td4 and like you say most stuff are covered in the rave cd but its the little bits like mine only as one low pressure diesel pump which the rave cd doesn't cover. i will keep looking.

This may be answered quick but i am curious. we had the rave cd for landrover -2003, what is they now ? for such as 2004-2010 ??

it is the OEM pump same problem here, took it out put it in the bin got the origanal landrover pump and its as quit as a mouse so that £100 gives your ears a rest lol. Alway buy landrover parts because you now if you dont it will come back and bite you.

Hi vitamins If it starts with the jump leads and doesn't without them it will be one of the terminals that isnt making a good contact or the battery is dead mate. Remove the terminals clean them up and try again if that doesn't do it its your battery mate.

silly answer but as it got the correct amount of antifreeze in also the thermastat may be dodgy. just a thought. on the starter i had the same problem and it turned out to be 2 contacts in the starter as chromiumuk said you can bye the kit off ebay for a£10 and 40mins later its as good as new.
