    Series III side-mirror adjustment

Is there any easy way to pull these mirrors back, or worst case scenario take them off an put them on again easily? Tight space I need to get through. Thanks!

    Electric Series III??

Cool. What else is needed in that setup- obviously a bunch of batteries and presumably more room for them under the bonnet.

    Electric Series III??

How would this method compare with just putting a motor under the bonnet- any benefits in cost, space or performance?

    Electric Series III??

Yeah I would be thinking of going all-electric, not hybrid, so get as much space as possible. Minimal range is fine for my purposes. I suppose it just comes down to a triangular calculation between range needed, battery storage space and battery technology (small higher capacity).

    Electric Series III??

Good find, that one is very useful

    Electric Series III??

Yeah, that does look a little strange- I was thinking of the seat cavities. Obviously wouldn't want to impact on clearance too much- that being said I'm not sure how low the lowest bit is down there- what type of clearance is there on a series?

    Electric Series III??

With the engine out would there not be quite a bit of space under the bonnet even accounting for the motor? It depends very much on the battery size but series seem to have quite a bit of room in the wings/behind panels that might be usable without needing to use internal space or to minimise...

    Electric Series III??

Thanks everyone for feedback. Yes the diesel I have in it is worn, will have to change sooner or later anyway, so considering all options. Having done a bit more digging found some videos: From what I've come across so far it seems like more than just a concept, that people are out there...

    Electric Series III??

I'm aware that some may consider even asking this question sacrilegious but I'm interested in getting opinions on converting a 1976 Series III to electric. The engine (2.3 diesel) and gearbox are going to need replacing and I was wondering if I should go with something that ran a little...

Series III 88 won't roll, work tomorrow!

After letting it cool down it worked okay the next morning, so it does seem like something is sticking

Series III 88 won't roll, work tomorrow!

Thanks all. Haven't tried jacking it up yet. I can put it in forward gear, and reverse, and move forward and back a bit- back seems a little easier but it doesn't want to go far- strong resistance- so I didn't push it.

Series III 88 won't roll, work tomorrow!

I was driving home and felt some resistance to acceleration as I pulled off from a light. I drove along a bit and noticed that whenever I needed to stop, in traffic, that the Land Rover would stop quite abruptly rather than rolling on a little as usual. When I got home (shortly after) I stopped...

    Series 3 Radiator issue...

Yes I didn't mind changing the radiator because it clearly needed it, the water was coming right out. I'll see if I can spot more specifically where the water is coming from and if not get someone to take a look at it. What I have noticed, just looking at it quickly today after a drive, is that...

    Series III headlamp

Great thanks. Is it worth going LED? I also was thinking of adding some lights, maybe this is the time to do the whole lot? I wanted a reverse light, and also some spotbeams on the front. Are there LED kits that would have all of that and should it hook into existing wiring easily enough?

    Series III headlamp

My left head lamp is working on full but not on dimmed, where's the best place to get another one? Are they available in standard dealers at all or is there any good online source? I couldn't find much by typing the number on it in online '100-1103N'. Also what's the life on these normally like...
