Thanks it is in very good nick but it just weeps through the weld

I have a 1998 300 TDI Defender which has a leaking front diff. I have had it on the ramp today and confirmed that the weak is through the weld on the front of the diff. Has anyone else had this and can you repair it on the vehicle and re weld over the leaking area. Any ideas please.:whoosh:

Thanks for all your advice just had garage on phone again and they are now telling me there was a recall on 1998 300 TDI for a cam belt mod and mine had not had this fitted is this true was there a recall on late 300 TDI I know there was a pronblem with the early ones ? :cool:

Can you give me some expert advice I had my cam belt changed by a local garage 1 month ago it has since snapped and is back with them. They are saying the only damage is the push rods as it snapped at low revs. Is there likely to be more damage that needs fixing (pulling wool over my eyes) or...

Hi I have just jumped ship and sold my 90 V8 for a Discovery 3.9 Series1. It has a leak from the front sunroof and I understand it is a standard fault is it thes eals that go or something more serious. I was dryer in the 90. Also has anyone down south got a full size roof rack for the above.
