    Hi Since I reported my clutch pedal solid I have removed the gearbox, I found that the thrust bearing had seized on its shaft. I have now bought a complete clutch. Q do I use any lubricant on the thrust bearing shaft, and what lubricant do I use on the splines. Thanks Ian Fewtrell.

    Hi, I now have removed the slave cylinder, the brake pedal is now moving freely and I used compressed air to push out the slave cylinder piston, no signs of seizing. the rod from the clutch into the slave cylinder has no resistance, not moves in and out easily, Q is this ok or do I now need to...

    My clutch had been making so odd noises recently and the pedal was getting stiff. About four years ago I stripped out the pedal box ( pedal had seized) pushed out the pivot shaft cleaned everything up unblocked the oil ways and refitted, all good.
