i changed the oil in the rear diff, and their was a lot of filings on the nut and the oil was thick and sludgy,probably hasn`t been changed for years.

changed the battery in the remote,due to it not working anymore. now the key fob will not work at all key starts the car but does nothing else. read in the handbook that the fob battery charges when key is in ignition, dont know how this works as not like fl2 remote that docks to charge. had...

thought i would remove the 6&7th seats so that i could replace with a mdf box in its place & carpet the top so i could put all the junk i carry around with me so it was all out of the way. well that was my biggest mistake. thinking, should have known better:mad:.

thankyou for your replies at least i know it has been done and i don`t have to worry about it,just the hand brake squeal to sort now. has had all new discs and pads plus h/hrake shoes before i acquired it ,have done the auto set up with my icarsoft but it still squeals.

sorry to sound ignorant but i didn`t know it had had a servo update ,apart from changing filters and hitting the pre heater with a hammer to make it work i haven`t done anything else under the bonnet, will have been previous owners .they did some jobs and just left others. the more expensive...

Found these i did have some black plastic pipe but have misplaced it so will have to be yellow for now .and thanks for your time and expert knowledge as allways.and would like to see piccies when you have finished, {if we ever finish when owning a landrover:rolleyes:.

you can waffle all you like sir, if it helps me and saves me money in the long run then you are being a great help. and referencing to the 6mm stem elbows i am sure i have some in my box of airline spares, will have a look later. and cheers for your replies they are very much appreciated.

just cleaned up the rear of the nearside sill. thick with mud behind the plastic trim and started to rust on the edge of the wheel arch.might just last a bit longer.
