Hmmm, I slept on it, unlocked with the key the next morning, and before I got the toolkit out just switched the ignition on and off again. Guess what? :-)

Went for a quick play down a local lane, quite bouncy, a few puddles to splash through, and now my central locking has packed up. Does not work with either the key or the blipper. Where's teh best place to start looking? Thanks! Iain

Check boot floor and sills for rust, that's the biggest problem!

I used Dexron supplied by a very good independant LR specialist so hopefully I got that bit right! Also matches spec in the Haynes manual...

Hmmm, I'm being a divvy here, it was not a hex head! However, it was a square head, certainly not a torx jobbie. Please tell me that there is not some other square headed plug that lives near the torx plug and I've filled to the wrong level!!! Gearbox is loads better whatever it is!!!

Diffs, EP90, mainbox ATF, even if a manual! Just did my mainbox the other night, it's an arse of a job, be prepared to get VERY dirty and get oil everywhere. Basically drain it out the lower plug, and fill up via the tapered top plug until it runs out the filler hole. Get a Haynes manual...

Help...I'm still not clear on this EGR thing! I have the blanking plate ready to go on, I hear from some people that's all I need, and from others I hear that I need the bypass pipe thing too. So for a temporary measure, can I just unbolt the EGR from the manifold, clean the inlet pipe...
