we`ve had this happen 3 times now if it has gone and you fit it don't over stretch new boot when fitting....

hi check the front joint onto the gearbox, make sure the boot isn't split and lost its grease ,this causes a drumming in and out at about that speed, gives you headache on a long run, if it has don't let garage tell you, you need front section cos you cant get replacement boot, YOU CAN...

hi does anyone know how far along the shaft the rubber gaitor needs to be when fitting as I paid £400 for a complete front end and I think they stretched it too far and so when the joint moved in and out it has split it, so after paying out all that a very kind member gave me a link for a gaitor...

hi yes but I would have though a same ratio diff front and rear would allow for wheel arcs anyway, your normal landrover defender etc has same diff ratios and solid prop and no wheel wind up so why not freelander, just seems a bloody stupid idea that's expensive when it goes wrong as mine has...
