geezz!! i think i have come to the wrong place here!! I was warned as the owner who got the same sort of responses.. the car went to a garage call Alan Smiths advertised as 'derby's number One Range Rover Discovery Freelander Specialists' he charged the owner over £140 for a diagnostics harness...

It is a long shot and was just a few idea me and my mate was bouncing about, will probable never happen and aload of p38 parts will be up for grabs?? Not worried atall about MOT emission ;) Yea it has had a FIP changed and all the timing marks line up, i did read some where about the crank...

as i already said above it does exactly the same with or with out the throttal senser pluged in the revs are completely uncontrollable!! Which make me think it could be an ECU/wiring fault?

i havnt had it apart yet, its been to 3 other so called mechanics before me and has had a pump fitted and does the same as it did with the old pump. The car belongs to a friend of mine and he has had enough, as he has already spent a fortune on it and its still broke. its fate really isnt...
