yea it was a very cheap filter if i get any more problems ill put a decent one in it. great ill do that when i get a chance! it was only a tiny bit of oil in the plug but like you say it can only get worse. thank you for the help

i got it running in the end, i cleaned out the red ECU connection had a little bit of oil in it and then i did the purge sequence another few times and it kicked into life :) still seems to struggle a bit up hill but are they just like that?

thats an excellent video thank you i will check throught some of those things when i get home. does he say that if the crank position sensor fails that it will not show up as an error code?

hi i bought this 1999 discovery2 last week, it seemed fine quite slow and struggled to tow up hill i thought but i have never owned one before so that could just be the way they are. any way the fuel pump was starting to make a racket and it got louder and louder but the car was running fine...
