After having "one of those days" I'm in desperate need of one track rod balljoint nut for my td5 disco. It's the fine pitch thread 18mm spanner fitting one, I got a new arm and one old nut is knackered and the new rod came with no nuts,and I'm stuck outside my garage, anyone help in Barnsley...

well with the weather been so crap outside and the fact the handbrake gaiter turned up this morning I thort id change it, heres a few pics for teefin regarding removing the old gaiter and lever its held in at the base with a metal spring clip design image search and onto the actual grip...

hmmmm I know I am going to need some good tyres and I am going to have to change from the 18" wheels , I may just bite the bullet and do the whole wheel and tyre package and the diff lock mod at least then I wont be kicking my self if I ever do need it and didn't fit it

re-trimmed the gear gaitors

well after getting fed up of getting covered in "black bits" everytime I drive the disco, I decided to try some of the ebay gaitors,,, when they arrived I wondered what I had done as they didn't exactly look like a straight pull off , push on job,,, so after removing the old gaitors and gear...

all sorted now, seems the supplied washer was no where near thick enough, put 4 copper washers on and now works 100%
