    How much is it worth?

Hello, Considering selling my 90 which I use around the farm and occasional popping to the shop. Have no idea what it is worth or if someone would be interested - not to mention I don't think I can post in the for sale section. Depending on what you guys say, I will either sell or rebuild...

200tdi Engine Rebuild with new everything!

This is a little of an introduction really. I purchased my defender in desperation as a necessity for a work horse and quickly fell in love with it - that was 7 years ago! I enjoyed her so much that I decided to rebuild her after a hard life... I joined the forum for information initially and...

    Head Bolt washers

Good morning, My mistake, I have a defender 90 with the 200tdi which - upon disassembly - had washers on the old bolts.

    Head Bolt washers

Evening, I noticed the head bolt kit I ordered never came with bolt washers and I can seem to find any info. I would presume with aluminium heads that hardened steel washers would need to be used? Not just any washer from the tool box. Anyone know? If so, where to get them? Many thanks

Orientation of cam bearing oil wholes

Good morning, Can anyone confirm that the cam bearing oil wholes should be at the '4 o'clock' position - assuming the block is upright and the view point is from the timing side? I am currently re-building my 200 tdi and found the bearings to be in said position but had also been installed...

Can anyone shed some light on a problem. My water temp and fuel gauge both read wrong. Temp gauge is always hot (car is not) and fuel gauge won't go below half. Things I've done: new senders, new voltage regulator (on the back of the alternator) and pulled the dash apart looking for a...
