Changed lower arms on front of my l322, got pulled mot as a advisory, bit of a knock on bumps but couldn’t feel any play in them, anyway car feels totally different no wheel wobble on motorway, no knock and steering feels much tighter.
Latest news on my extended holiday, the ca is now ready...almost! The garage replaced the belt nd all the pullies except one which is priced at about €400! All others are done, pus a new belt, EGR valve, and a full regen so that's now al clear...
So just abit of an update.
We tested the PCB with the EAS controller tonight. The two seem to work together quite well. The PCB sends a value and the EAS controller reads it correctly. The EAS controller doesnt throw any fault codes either.
So...
Sounds reasonable.
If you put a line of chalk across the treads and drive back and forth a few times on a flat spot (e.g. car-park) then if only the centre part of the line vanishes first, the tyres have too much air in.
Depends on the bead and some cars come with different options. Thinner tyre has less grip but also less thirsty and less road noise. Most cars are over the top these days.
Softer tyres tend to grip more, especially in winter, but wear faster. I...
Possibly more to do with the tyre than its size. 255 is a decent footprint.
I tried some Kumho H-something on my Omega once. The U ones were OK but the H (for hard wearing, apparently) were horrible. Any damp on the road and the back end...
Later models have an extra temperature sensor on the head which turns on the aircon fans just after the head has cooked itself. Earlier models just cooked themselves.
As mentioned above there are a dizzying array of HEVAC units. Marty did a good...
I'm such a knobhead!
Sat here thinking about this and had that thought of "it's like the boot is open or something". Hang on, did I actually check that function? walked out to it and sure enough, the upper hatch was released.
You know how it...
Well my new track rod arrived this morning. Not bad less than 48hrs from ordering. It had been on a right tour round . I had to smile at the couriers tracking. From Doncaster to Howden to Newcastle to Darlington to Tamworth and finally to...
I've had mine on and off alone quite a few times. Tricky part getting it back on is getting the sides to slot back into place. Mine is just black plastic coated and not colour coded though. Don't know if yours is any more fragile but mine's...
Marty showed me but I cannot remember that far back.
He doesn't come on here anymore. Not sure if he still visits RR.net. He may well still go on here: https://rangerovers.pub/
Just plugged my egr valve vac pipe a few days ago. Also put a blank in the circ pipe although it was not really needed.
I do not subscribe to the argument that an unrestricted through pipe enhances fuel efficiency and performance, you would need...
Belt, pullies and water pump if included the system. Peace of mind.
I've got a mercs vianno here, a 3.0ltr diesel v6 at the garage with a destroyed belt wrapped up in the fan.
An elastic belt to boot as well.
All going to be changed as I've...
Fogs not on powerboard on Lowline BECM but iirc the holes are there on the board so if you know what you are doing you could add the components. Or just setup a relay for the switch but the switch just signals the BECM and that controls the fogs...
+1 on do a calibration first. All the faults are listed in the EAS system Info Doc.
"Sensor out of range" will either be dirty/worn tracks inside the sensor, or possibly bad connection where it plugs into the body loom.
"Valve stuck closed"...
Often had the bumper off on my own.
Undo the clips at either side, undo the two bolts, push down in the centre to disengage it and then pull it towards you and it just slides out. Get ready at the end as it comes free and the ends drop towards...
I had that on my 52 plate a few years back. We were abroad, going from Holland to Belgium, car running fine, stopped on motorway services, car refused to re-start. It would crank quite happily but no start. Recovered to main dealer who ended up...
