I have a 300tdi van N reg, with factory sunroof and factory towbar. 124K on the clock, full (new) MoT and 6 months tax. Standard, no additions or cosmetics, minimal off-road work, usual blemishes in paint for age. Regular oil changes and various new parts eg brake pipes, discs, bushes, clutch...

I bit the bullet today and went to the garage (mot was appraoching fast) guess what? Vac pump had packed up - well one of the fins had broken. Can now stop on a sixpence, but wallet hurts!! Got through the mot with just one bush needing replaced. Thanks to all those who were interested!! Griz

Hi - the servo assistance on my 90 tdi has stopped working, checked for leaks in pipe (non that I can see) one way valve works fine, when I take the pipe off and run the engine I am getting hardly any suck at idle but does increase with revs. Should there be a decent suck at idle? Suggestions...
