Arrrrrggghhhh! Spoke too soon!!!
A grumbling noise has now appeared after just a few miles, so I have today changed the other u.j on the front prop, but alas no better.
Vibration has gone but a grumbling sound is still there under acceleration load.
I am now wondering if I damaged the new...

Fitted the new u.j. today and it runs like a dream (no more feeling like being in a jumbo jet taking off down the runway).
Thanks for your help:)
Now its just the anti-roll bar bushes and links to do, oh and sort those front fog lights out that dont work, although they look a bit rusty and...

Thanks for the link, I have printed the pics off and will crack on with it as soon as the u.j. links arrive. I have already printed off the process from the rave cd but there is nothing quite like following the step by step process from someone elses photos.

Thanks Paul D,
I have been underneath it today and the u.j. to the rear of the front prop has lots of vertical movement in it and looks as though it is shot.
I already have one on order and will get another ordered up today.

I found the euroshopper oil a few aisles away from the where all the other oils are in Bookers. It comes in a box of 15 one litre bottes at £12.99
I will definately up the ratio though. One thing I am curious about though is whether I need to thin it or not, at moment I add a small amount of...

I've only had my disco for about a Month and I suppose I am a bit unsure on how she would run on a higher ratio. I suppose you could say I was breaking her in gently, but reading other posts on here it seems that I don't need to worry about upping the ratio.

Just a quick note to add about veggie oil......
Watching tonight with Trevor Mcdonald last night and next weeks program will have a feature on rising fuel prices and how you can get around them.
One of the features is putting svo into your diesel.

Thanks for your help.
This afternoon I followed all your advice and found what seems to be a bad solder joint on one of the relays on the circuit board. I resoldered all the surrounding joints and fingers crossed so far it seems to work. Only time will tell if I have done a good job.
Many...

Hi all,
Just firstly I would like to thank all previous posters on this forum which advice I have read through and saved myself a fortune.
Now for my question....
Just got myself a 300 TDI Disco a few weeks ago (after I finally binned my troublesome Freelander) and noticed that the rear...
