    L322 Lumpy after kickdown

Try some BG244 diesel fuel cleaner additive, before you start stripping it down, well worth it at £20 a can. failing that, also it could be your fuel injection harness, they go brittle after a number of years, wheeler dealers replaced one on the one they did. If you look in the ecu box the big...

l322 td6 loose hoses and wires. Help

+1, i have the same. afaik the white filter is a breather for the turbo, the black pipe i assume is the front diff breather and the electric plugs that don't connect to anything are for the abroad market. perfectly ok.

    L322 TD6 Injector studs

Stands a damn good chance they are the same as a td4 is a td6 with 2 less cylinders, so a lot of parts are generic to both engines. best be sure though, at that price!

    L322 Foundry finish.

Yes, I've taken one of the foundry grey trims off the rear door, and going to see what sort of finish I can achieve. I'm starting with a good plastic primer coat then gloss black followed by 3 or 4 coats of lacquer, wet and dry in between. See how it goes, my thinking is if it doesn't work...

    L322 trans prog fail safe

If you are referring to the transfer box motor, there is a thread on fullfatrr.com, the chap very slightly bent the contacts on the contact track. I believe he had success with it. Otherwise those motors are bloomin expensive. Hope it helps. greg.

    L322 Help with new purchase.

Hi Glen, just had a quick look, and it is the same number I quoted in the previous post for the egr thermostat. Sounds like yours and my car are going through similar maintenance. I've recently had the g/box refurbed, new rims and tyres and lots of service items, discs, calipers, pads, filters...

    L322 Help with new purchase.

86517"]Thanks Greg. Our car is due back from the body-shop tomorrow, so I will take a look at the weekend. The BMW part number for an X5/730d/530d/330d of the same era is 1171 7787 870. Going to try and do it fairly soon, as it could do with running a lot warmer in this weather. Having quite a...

    L322 Help with new purchase.

Hi Glen, just had a quick look and various photos reveal bmw part no, 2 247 723. BEHR comes up as the equivalent part. One way to confirm is to whip off the black cover at the front ( in front of rad ) and the part no should be visible if it's the same then happy days only 20 quid as apposed to...

    L322 Help with new purchase.

Hi, Glen. sorry mate have no idea about the bmw compatible part. Only been looking on the usual sites, island 4x4 etc. Also I think the freelander diesel shares the same part. I won't be doing mine until the weather warms up,along with a few other jobs. These range rovers don't half keep you...

    L322 Help with new purchase.

on the td6 there is another thermostat on the egr, easy to get at, when you take the first cover off in front of the rad, it has a bleed screw on top. These have been known to stick open and quite a few peeps have had a lot of success changing it out. Think mine needs doing as temperature gauge...

    Xenon lamps

Yes ballasts are quite dear. Although I haven't had to purchase one yet. (Fingers crossed). My sons audi quattro had one go and that was over £100. anyway mine was flickering a while back, I think it was on the full fat site someone had the same and he cleaned the connections on the bulb area...

    Xenon lamps

Hi, oem should be 4500k, 8k will probably be very blue and maybe no advantage in light . I've bought some 6k for mine but haven't fitted yet. Any D2S bulb will be ok, depends what colour, the higher the k the more blue the light. I've been told 6k about the whitest, others may disagree or have...

    L322 Rattle at low speeds

Could also be your cat on downpipe. Mines rattled since I had it. The porcelain pieces come loose, mine always rattles at 900 -1000 rpm. Doesn't do my street cred much good as always happens when at slow speed in town
