The temperature went to the max, although no steam came from the engine area and it didn't conk out. To be honest if you didn't notice/look at the temp gauge you wouldn't have been able to tell.

so why is a TD4 better than mine; apart from the problem? Its actually in the garage supposibly being fixed; they have given us a merc as courtesy. My freelander has a very nice front end add on, I believe it cost £1500.
