thanx and yeah thats all sound, turned out to be a sheared pin on the tensioner? the belt slipped a few teeth!!!!!:doh: amazing as the car was still running untill she pulled over lol. its in the garage first thing new belts and tensioner, the freelander will be up for sale when it gets back to...

lol, thanx all i managed to replace the engine on my own by dropping it out the bottom, was quite easy tbh. thanks again guys and galls...

hi thanx for that, i will take it out the bottom after all, i already have the wheels exhaust etc off so il just remove prop, linkages etc and drop it down, dont really fancy messing with the crank pulleys etc. thanx again
