I'll be doing these lanes solo, late August but I'd like to do them earlier with a group to make it more fun. So if you are still up for it you can count me in too.

Once you go black you'll never go back.

Still being new here myself it certainly does make for a funny read.
The chap with a thread asking how good the Freelander 2 is had 1 reply on topic and then 4 pages of randomness. :D

Thanks Paul that's a big help. :)
I've got a blanket and a snap-on rest mat
Needed a 110 yesterday Sean. I had 3 adults, a dog and bags in the back and my niece in the front. It was a bit cramped for them. :D
I think that's about everything guys. Thanks for your help. :)

Cant believe I forgot gaffer tape.
I might leave the hammer out for now. Harsh language should do the trick. :D
Should I just carry 8mm - 20mm spanners?
Also going to add spare bulbs.

Spare car I knew there would be something. :D
I've got a tub of grease too I forgot to mention. I've also got a tow rope and shackles and a jack.
I'll amend the list as I go.
Thanks.

Breaker bar 1/2"
27mm 1/2" socket
small can of WD40
Variety of screw drivers
Vise grips
Torch
Gloves
Jack, tow rope and...

I got some free screw drivers when I bought some oil for £20 the screwdrivers were worth £20, so a good deal and they have stood some abuse while unscrewing the typically rusty landy screws.

They we're about £7 each at my local landy dealer. If I had more time I would have sourced them from elsewhere.
One or two of mine were rounded as well and we had to resort to using a slightly smaller socket and a hammer to get them off. I'm surprised to say the cheap Draper socket lived on.

For some little copper washers.
At first we thought it was the exhaust manifold making a blowing tappety noise, so got that fixed, started it up and it was still making the noise.
On closer inspection it was one of the injectors blowing past the copper washer. So out comes the injector to find...

As others have mentioned check the feed wire. When I did the electrics on mine it kept popping off causing what is happening to yours.
As for the headlight that sounds like there is a wire arcing out on metal somewhere. Probably caused by a chip from a stone. And as it's a defender there will...

There will be a key on the map to mark a BOAT or RUPP but they are not always legal to drive down.
If you get an OS map make sure it's a 1:25 000 scale. They're called Explorer maps and they're orange.
