I would say you need a family car not a series Landrover! Landrovers are great fun but they are just that, i shouldn't think too many members on here take a family as big as yours in a series :frown:

Ok, I want to rub down my chassis and paint it, my series 3 is an ex mod one so its not in bad nick but there is flaking. Has anyone done this, i don't have the time space or tools to take my Landy apart but want to maintain it as best I can, should i wire brush it, sand paper it all advice...

so not semi synthetic then just mineral like the old castrol gtx or duckhams

I love my series 3, and every day seems to see the arrival of a new part etc etc but the dash board is well, wanting, the choke retaining plate has given way so i now have a hole, the previous owner abandoned the original ignition switch in the column and cut another hole, so my question is...

no its a metal one, i haven't had it long (The Landy that is) and i was exporing lol

i took off the cover to my metal airfilter (1972 series 3 2.25ltr petrol) and there was a little oil in the bottom, should this be there, if not is there a cleaning solution that i should use to clean the filter. Thanks in advance

Ok, I am new to Landy ownership but do love it, anyway i have noticed a banging noise from my n/s f and couldn't work out what it was, turns out that my inner wing is hanging on by a thread, but how do you attach a new one, surely if you rivot it on you have rivots through the top of your wings...
