Fusebox looks fine.... i did notice one dry solder on the PCB after i dismantled the whole lot back to the PCB...board looked a bit discoloured on the relay point that seems to control the HEVAC (i think) (yellow relay very bottom driver side corner of fusebox) so done a continuity test, the...

Hiya guys....more problems than I anticipated. Took it upto mike aitken at ladybank today and seems like I may have fusebox wiring corrosion so that's what I'm off to do right now....his diagnostics which is the right RR/LR stuff isn't reading the ecu etc and can defo smell fusebox electrical...

Yeah ive took it out the underpanel & checked it..all connections are intact gave each wire a good wee tug

lol...honestly its doing ma head in.... no idle, cables soldered up properly.... am actually thinking its laptop n i need XP with a serial port I've tried it via a prolific usb serial.... chipset is a fake pl2303 so cant get driver for it and desktop is running windows 8

Comms problem.... hows bout :censored::censored::censored::censored: blowing up thing with a large :censored: box of matches!!! Cable all wired fine.... nothing different in the RX....apart from 28 / 80 codes Totally baffled now!

Yeah probably I'll update how i get on tomorrow with it... might fit the 19" screen into dash while am at it tomorrow save humphing the whole lot into RR again lol :D

Yeah its not connected in the car wammers.... just got it plugged into old desktop the now

right a wee screen shot.... managed to get the cable recognised on an old desktop.... but have a look at the RX part.... its not connected upto RR yet...just cable whapped into the port etc

I did read instructions...hence why i said i changed com ports etc.... Its my laptop that isnt allowing it to be used...it works fine on desktop both tx & rx.... looks like i'll have to humph desktop out to RR :mad:

ok... cable done connected up to laptop..... initialize and starts going 1. 2. 3. 4 then so on 1. FF in the TX screen but the RX is saying PP.... tried it a few times now and still saying PP Any ideas?
