    Valeo: Cibie headlamps

Hi I've been looking into replacement headlamps types for the 88/109 and I'm wondering if Valeo globe Cibie 082369 are ok as direct replacements! I believe these are also replacements for old 1970s BL cars such as Allegro, Princess etc. Thanks

Would a vacuum leak cause staring problems?

In your original post, you've replaced the battery! Was there a reason for replacing the battery? Do you still have the old battery? If you do! I would refit it. Timing!! The engine timing being out, wont flatten the battery. If anything, it will take ages for the vehicle to start (or it wont...

    whiring sound on accelaration

Normally when you press the clutch Hmmm I'd hazard a guess ;) it's you fan belt. Life the bonnet, start the vehicle, pull the acl cable, see if you hear the noise. If that dosen't work? then I could suggest other things.

damn freelander - taken as much as i can now

If I have read this thread correctly? you are saying; when you try to turn the engine over (third key turn), all the ignition light go out! is that correct? If you've replaced the ignition (tested the replacement part before fitting) and its still doing the same. Sounds like its 'shorting out'...

R reg 1.8 over heating problems

mines was the same as yours, no white smoke from either the exhaust/under the bonnet, no visual water leaks, oil is nice and black. I'd check the heater matrix and pipes too and from engine/radiator. When it starts to over-heat? put your heaters on full blast! that will bring the temp down...

    Advice on ABS sensor

Hi I'm needing to replace the front driverside ABS sensor on my late 99 freelander (had FL on the machine at non-dealer Landrover garage) The guy at the garage quoted me £230+vat to replace the ABS sensor and told me the ABS system will no longer work properly (i agree with that) however the...
