sorry for the delay in replying - thanks for the suggestion, I will give it a try - it is entirly possible that I connected the positive terminal last. Actualy the first thing I did when the fob wouldnt work was to change the battery (always possible that I have bought a duff battery of course...

Wow - superfast reply - thanks. But I just tried it and couldnt get it to work. I did the following:- Disconnected the battery Waited 15 mins Reconnected the battery Stood outside the vehicle pressing first the lock and then the unlock buttons on the keyfob - I did this for about 5 mins and...
