As per title, need the glass and rubber surround...

i would say that's the better approach mine seems to need the rubber to stop it falling out as it did, the other issue is it started to bubble the paint work during the period i did not notice that it was up against the bodywork :(

Yup that's the one, mine has a circular rubber gasket that fits around the tail pipe and then into the hole in the wing, its that rubber gasket that has worn away and broken

Mine has gone brittle, and now my exhaust is on the body :(, I cannot seem to find a stockist anybody know where to get hold of the rubber that holds the exhaust in the hole..

worked the accelerator this morning and it did not do it :suspicious:

Oil changed around 300 miles ago, due again in three months.. Will get the oil pressure checked at the next service..

Not tried that will do tomorrow..

So having got all my starting issues fixed, the last couple of days on starting it sounds like a bag of nails/rough until i give a couple of stamps on the accelerator then all is great, is this normal for a 3.5 V8 running carbs or does it point to an issue, i am thinking maybe the carbs are...

So a week or so later, all is still good :), fingers crossed.... Goes in for a service and lubrication etc soon, so will ask them to double check all...
