Apologies for jumping on this post, im new to this site, i desperatly need advice, I got a rally good 2.8 Daihatsu Turbo diesel to put in my landrover series 3, got the adaptor plate, but before i take the old 2.5 NA out which has come to the end of its life could anybody enlighten me please...

I’m not sure of ur reply , I have had great pleasure in restoring a series 3 for the last 2 yrs , and tried to keep the 2.5 na which when I bought the landrover 25yrs ago has served me well , but sadly no more , I was only asking for advice , nothing else

Any body know where I can get hold of a 200 tdi to place in a series 3 ?

Is it that easy Will a disco 200tdi go in as you say with the bell housing of the 2.5 on to the series gear box ?

Im looking for a 2.5 na engine , mine has just finished on me it’s in my series 3 and would preferred to put another 2.5 in without going in to the conversion of 200 tdi etc

I have a series 3 with 11in brakes at the front and 10 at the back is this normal
