  • Hi. I read your post with interest. I also have a 2007 freelander 2 which was registered in September of that year and has a full service history with the original dealer that supplied the vehicle. In the middle of April a central bearing went in the engine and I have been told it is a write off and been quoted 13,500 euro for a new engine. The car was 6-7 months out of warranty and only covered 85000 km (53,000 miles). After some discussion, the Land Rover dealer the car was taken too has submitted a goodwill claim on my behalf. I have just returned from holiday and as yet have not received any news. I wonder,do you have contact details for the "team at Land Rover" that you mention and how long did it take for them to come around from the original decision not to fund the repair. I would appreciate some details of your experience. Thanks in advance for any reply.
